So you want to purchase your memory foam and yet are getting a little confused with all the talk of density and depth, with so many various reports on what density is best, the lower density the higher density, it is no wonder you are feeling confused.

Though the density of memory foam could have an impact on the support you want to get from it, more so if you are purchasing memory foam for health benefits there is a rough guide to assist you.

On average most consumers should be looking for memory foam with a density of 3 - 4 lbs to provide enough support and comfort to your body and still have high durability. There is no proven evidence that the higher the density, the better the quality or similarly the lower the density the durability will be affected.

The Mattress has been in my NY area apartment and used perhaps 20 weeks during the last year. While I really liked the Mattress when it first showed up, over the last year, the foam has become much less firm, to the point where the Mattress is uncomfortable and is bothering my back. They love them. These mattresses are far more comfortable than the spring mattresses they replaced. My teenager used to wake up with backaches every morning, not anymore. The foam smell is a little strong but does go away with time. We purchased waterproof, allergy barrier mattress protectors that encase the entire mattress to protect them and the smell was blocked also. I aired it out for a few days prior to his arrival since I had read on some of the reviews that there may be an odor to it.
